Business Analyst

As a Junior Business Analyst with a focus on user story writing and effective communication, you will play a crucial role in the software development process. Your responsibilities will revolve around understanding business needs, translating them into clear and concise user stories, and facilitating effective communication between various stakeholders. Additionally, should have knowledge in software development industry.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand user needs and business objectives.

User Story Writing:

Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility.
Prioritize user stories based on business value and technical dependencies.

Communication:

Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers.
Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders by conveying complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Product Development Support:

Work closely with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.
Provide ongoing clarification and guidance throughout the development process.

Team Collaboration:

Foster a collaborative and communicative environment within the team.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the evolution of best practices within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any stream – Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on user story writing.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst with 3-5 yrs of experience.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
